What do you specialise in at Hoops?
I specialise in S&C and Skills coaching for basketball athletes at any level, developing athletic performance on and off the court.
What’s one thing athletes can expect from your sessions?
When an athlete trains with me, they can expect to be put to work, high intensity, attention to detail and programs tailored to my athletes goals.
What’s your coaching style or philosophy?
My coaching philosophy is to get 1% better every day. Small daily wins, consistent work, and attention to detail compound into major improvements.
What’s your education/background in basketball/S&C?
Currently studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at UTS. I've been coaching basketball for 3 years now and have been playing for 7. I've played with the Hornsby Spiders from Youth League 1s to Waratah Mens.
What do you want every athlete to walk away feeling after training with you?
I want every athlete to feel accomplished after training with me, walking out of the gym knowing they got better, stronger and faster.
What do you enjoy most about coaching?
Being able to impact an athlete on and off the court. I love being able to help improve athletes' performance in the gym and on the court but also off the court – building their confidence, share advice and make their day just a little bit better.
Who's your favourite basketball player/athlete? Why?
Kobe. I'll leave it at that.
What’s a fun fact or something that athletes might not expect from you?
My first ever year of reps basketball was Youth League 1s. My first season was definitely a learning curve, being the youngest player against nbl1 level guys and imports was definetly a humbling experience.
